Delete your CivVision account and associated data

How to request deletion

1. Email info@civvision.com with subject “CivVision account deletion request”.
2. Include your full name, registered email address, registered mobile number and account role if known. State that you want your CivVision account and associated data permanently deleted.
3. Respond to our ownership-verification message. We may contact the registered email address or mobile number, but we will never ask for your password, one-time code, payment-card details or an unnecessary identity document.

What will be deleted

After we verify the request, deletion normally includes:

• your CivVision authentication account, profile and contact details;
• your role and project-membership mappings;
• notification tokens, account preferences and account-linked device identifiers;
• private drafts and content owned only by your account;
• uploaded media, files, messages, notes and AI inputs that can be deleted without affecting another authorised user’s project record; and
• other personal data associated with the account unless retention is required as described below.

Deletion is permanent: you will lose access to the account and cannot restore deleted private content. If you later return, you may need to create a new account.

Data that may be retained

Account deletion does not always mean every project record can be erased immediately. We may retain the minimum necessary information where required for:

• shared construction records needed by another authorised project participant;
• contracts, invoices, purchase or payment-status records, tax, accounting or legal obligations;
• site safety, quality, approval, warranty, dispute or professional-liability records;
• fraud prevention, security investigations or enforcement of rights; and
• a limited record showing that we received and completed the deletion request.

When retention is necessary, we restrict the retained data from ordinary use and remove or minimise your account identifiers where reasonably possible. De-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be kept. Isolated backup copies are removed or overwritten through the applicable backup cycle.

Verification and timing

We aim to acknowledge the request, verify account ownership and complete deletion within 30 days. A complex request or a binding legal retention requirement may take longer; if so, we will explain the reason and next step using the contact details linked to the request.

If the registered email address or mobile number is no longer available, provide enough non-sensitive account or project context for us to locate the account. We may need an alternative proportionate verification step before deletion to protect the account from an unauthorised request.

Subscriptions and payments

Deleting your CivVision account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Google Play or another app store. Cancel any active store subscription in that store’s subscription settings to prevent future renewal. You can still submit an account-deletion request before or after cancelling.

Deleting an account also does not cancel an active construction contract, settle a project balance or reverse an authorised payment. Contact the relevant contracting parties separately for those matters.

Delete specific data without deleting the account

You may ask us to delete or correct a specific item while keeping your account. Email info@civvision.com with subject “CivVision data request”, identify the item and explain the requested action. Shared, contractual or safety records remain subject to the retention limits described above.
